Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Program at Indian Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) Delhi is CAR-147 (Basic) compliant. Under this program, the Institute is approved by Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India for AME Course covering AME Licence Category B1.1 (Turbine Aeroplane), which covers Heavy Aircraft and Turbine Engines known as the Mechanical Stream, and AME Licence Category B2 (Avionics), which covers Aircraft Electrical, Instrumentation, Communication and Navigation systems known as the Avionics Stream
