AME Entrance Exam

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is the branch of engineering that involves the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting the issues faced in aircraft. AME is an international program regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. No aircraft can fly without its safety certification by an appropriately License holder AME. Thus an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shoulders the responsibility of aircraft safety and the personnel onboard on behalf of Govt. of India.

Under this programme institute is approved by DGCA Ministry of civil aviation, Govt of India for AME license category B1.1 which covers heavy aircraft and turbine engine to be known as Mechanical stream and category B2 which covers aircraft electrical instrumentation and aircraft communication and navigation system to be known as Avionics stream.

Admission is granted through stiff screening process which is done by an all India admission entrance examination popularly known as AIAEE (All India AME entrance examination) exclusively for the Indian Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) registered candidates only. This is conducted through an Online Examination mode at 26 centres all over India in the month of APRIL or MAY every year. Students also get the opportunity to select their preferred examination date in online examination mode within the allowed dates. Based on the examination results and all India merit list is published online in the institute website (www.iiae.in ) with intimation to the selected and qualified students on their registered E-mail address. Student who is interested to take admission has to apply online. On the basis of merit, student will get admission offer letter.

Eligibility

A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or has completed three years approved diploma in any of the stream is eligible for admission in AME programme.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

AIAEE entrance examination duration is of 2 hour, total 100 MCQ (multiple choice questions) will be ask in examination. These questions will be asked from different subjects like mathematics, chemistry, physics and general knowledge.

The payments of the above fee instalments on time will be the sole responsibility of the parent and student concern.

Foreign Student

A total of US $ 18,000/- as academic fee has to be submitted by foreign national to complete the AME programme with IIAE in India. In addition to the academic fee a foreign students will pay US $ 4,000/- towards Food and residence charges for two years AME programme in the following manner:
