Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is the branch of engineering that involves the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting the issues faced in aircraft. AME is an international program regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. No aircraft can fly without its safety certification by an appropriately License holder AME. Thus an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shoulders the responsibility of aircraft safety and the personnel onboard on behalf of Govt. of India.
Under this programme institute is approved by DGCA Ministry of civil aviation, Govt of India for AME license category B1.1 which covers heavy aircraft and turbine engine to be known as Mechanical stream and category B2 which covers aircraft electrical instrumentation and aircraft communication and navigation system to be known as Avionics stream.
Admission is granted through stiff screening process which is done by an all India admission entrance examination popularly known as AIAEE (All India AME entrance examination) exclusively for the Indian Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) registered candidates only. This is conducted through an Online Examination mode all over India in the month of February To july every year. Students also get the opportunity to select their preferred examination date in online examination mode within the allowed dates. Based on the examination results and all India merit list is published online in the institute website (www.iiae.in ) with intimation to the selected and qualified students on their registered E-mail address. Student who is interested to take admission has to apply online. On the basis of merit, student will get admission offer letter.
A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or has completed three years approved diploma in any of the stream is eligible for admission in AME programme.
All India AME Entrance Examination will be conducted online
AIAEE entrance examination duration is of 1.5 hour, total 75 MCQ (multiple choice questions) will be ask in examination. These questions will be asked from different subjects like mathematics, chemistry and physics.

Note : There will be negative marking, 4 marks for each correct question and 1 mark will be charged for wrongly attempted questions or with multiple attempts per question.
