Eligibility

A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or has completed three years approved diploma in any of the stream is eligible for admission in AME programme. Additionally a student has to pass through medical examination conducted by a registered medical practitioner. Students with colour blindness are not allowed for admission.


Registration

Any student who is desirous of seeking admission in IIAE for CAR-147 (Basic) AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) programme has to apply online through APPLY TODAY to get himself registered to be eligible for admission by filling up the application form online and paying INR 1000/- also online as registration charges. A computer garneted registration number will be automatically sent through a SMS on registered mobile no. mentioned in the online application form.


Selection Process

Admission is granted through stiff screening process which is done by an all India admission entrance examination popularly known as AIAEE (All India AME entrance examination) exclusively for the Indian Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) registered candidates only. This is conducted through an Online and offline Examination mode at 20 centres all over India in the month of APRIL or MAY every year. Students also get the opportunity to select their preferred examination date in online examination mode within the allowed dates. Based on the examination results and all India merit list is published online in the institute website (www.iiae.in ) with intimation to the selected and qualified students on their registered E-mail address. Student who is interested to take admission has to apply online. On the basis of merit, student will get admission offer letter. Following documents should be carried at the time of admission.

  • Class X original Mark sheet & Certificate.
  • Class XII original Mark sheet & Certificate.
  • Copy of Residence Proof ( Voter ID/ Passport)
  • Copy of students and their parents Aadhar Card.
  • Eight recent passport size colour photographs of Applicant.
  • Two Recent passport size photographs of parents.
  • Medical form (colour blindness) dual signed by registered physician.

EXAM PATTERN & SYLLABUS

AIAEE entrance examination duration is of 2 hour, total 100 MCQ (multiple choice questions) will be ask in examination. These questions will be asked from different subjects like mathematics, chemistry, physics and general knowledge.

NOTE : There will be negative marking, 4 marks for each correct question and 1 mark will be charged for wrongly attempted questions or with multiple attempts per question.

FEE STRUCTURE (INDIAN STUDENT)

Indian students (Boys) are required to submit a total of INR 4, 50,000/- as academic fee for two years in five simple instalments in the following manner:

FIRST SEMESTER
1 Pre application and registration fee INR 1,000 /-
2 At the time of admission INR 30,000 /-
3 In ten days after admission INR 1,20,000 /-
TOTAL INR 1,50,000 /-
SECOND SEMESTER
1 Academic fee to be paid by 3rd Nov INR 1,00,000 /-
THIRD SEMESTER
1 Academic fee to be paid by 3rd May INR 1,00,000 /-
FOURTH SEMESTER
1 Academic fee to be paid by 3rd May INR 1,00,000 /-
TOTAL INR 4,50,000 /-

Important : The MRO chargers for practical facilities on flying aircraft has to be paid in actual as and when required as per CAR-147 Basic teams of approval. All the above payments have to be paid on time to avoid delay payment charges @INR 150/- per day.

The payments of the above fee instalments on time will be the sole responsibility of the parent and student concern.

NOTE: MRO/ AIRLINES TRAINING FEE WILL BE CHARGED IN ACTUAL.


International Students

AME programme under CAR-147(Basic) is open for international students to all the international communities. Students across the continents are invited to take this AME programme to enjoy some of the finest opportunity in aviation individual worldwide. International students are encouraged to register online through the IIAE website using Apply now. Registration fee of US $ 500 has to be paid, for admission office to proceed for admission formalities. After receiving the required admission processing fees of US $ 500, the Indian institute of Aircraft engineering (IIAE) admission office will issue admission offer letter online for students to proceed for student’s visa from Indian embassy in their respective country. After completing the visa formalities students will approach the IIAE Admission office for submission of the academic and residential fees online. Ones the admission fees is received by IIAE Admission office, an admission confirmation letter will be issued online along with their class commencement dates and schedules for the students to arrive in India for regular AME programme. Ones the student arrives in India, the information will be given to local FRO (Foreign Residence office) within three days of the arrival in India as per the Indian government regulation for issue of residence permit to continue the AME programme with IIAE. IIAE will further approach to the FRO office for obtaining security clearances from MHA (Ministry of Home affair).



FEE STRUCTURE (FOREIGN STUDENTS)

A total of US $ 18,000/- as academic fee has to be submitted by foreign national to complete the AME programme with IIAE in India. In addition to the academic fee a foreign students will pay US $ 4,000/- towards Food and residence charges for two years AME programme in the following manner:

1 Pre application and registration US $ 500 /-
2 First year academic fee to be paid at the time of admission US $ 9,000 /-
3 Food and residence charges for first US $ 2,000 /-
4 Second year academic fee to be paid after one year US $ 9,000/-
5 Food and residence charges for second year US $ 2,000 /-
Total US $ 22,500 /-
